What was the highlight of Exe San Jose Center Hotel

The overall experience was great.

The overall experience was great. The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable and well designed. Bathroom clean and there are gym and sauna facilities in the basement. Breakfast is included and offers a lot of different options. The lady at the restaurant even suggested we take some fruits with us for our further travels.

Our room had a connecting door to another room, which let through a lot of noise from the room next to us. We could hear the couple in the room next to us very clearly, as if they were standing in our bathroom. Also, not really the fault of the hotel, but going to mention anyway as might be useful info: The hotel offers free parking, however, if you rent a SUV or Jeep type car, you may have to take into consideration that the car might not fit through their garage doorway. Our car (Nissan Xterra, with a rooftop rack) did not fit and we had to park our car at the car park accros the street - which we don't recommend as it was expensive: 1000 colones per hour!

Staff was super!

We had a family room: super spacious and comfy. We were surprised to see that the room had only one window looking into the hotel and no exterior light. Small kitchenette but no plates nor cutlery. Could have been helpful. Perfect on all other accounts.

I was only transmitting through San Jose but had a full so I...

I was only transmitting through San Jose but had a full so I decided I will not stay near the airport. This hotel was good value for your money. It is clean and professional and the facility is okay. The location in the heart of the city where you can just walk out the door and be in the middle of great restaurants , shopping area, fresh market. You can find everything you need as soon as you stepped out of the property. I found highly rated restaurants close by and was able to have lunch at one of them while I was there, it was only a ten minute walk. I wanted to buy coffee to take back home as gifts and went to the fresh market and got what I needed.

This is not the hotel’s fault but it is dangerous to walk in San Jose at night, every says so even the locals. Despite the area being safe in the daytime, I tried my best to not step foot out the hotel at night.

Excellent staff and excellent facility.

Excellent staff and excellent facility. I left a bag behind on departure with my passport, cash, and a camera. Immediately the staff reached out to me to let me know they had recovered it. Will definitely stay there again. Beautiful rooms as well.

Gorgeous, but not practical

The location was good.

The concept is trendy and modern with many rooms having stair access that leads to a private door, However for travelers with luggage going up a flight of stairs is not fun. Additionally many of these "upgraded" room are interior without windows and natural light. Finally, the air con went off at about 2am and it became uncomfortably warm. When we called we the front desk, we were told to look for a remote on the tables when a wall unit actually controlled the temperature.

Position is good and the room is clean

Missing comunication, when I arrived to the hotel I pay the breakfast separately!! But due to early escursioni I can use it only Two times, I ask the staff if they can refund this two breakfast, all the times they told me yes we leave a message to our manager but I never received any feedback!! Every Day the say the same without any answer!!

Nice hotel in the city

It is a nice hotel in the center of San Jose. The staff is very friendly and helped us with a taxi to the airport without problems. Also when the airconditioner of the room was malfunctioning we got a different room without a problem.

The room was quite noisy (we could almost exactly hear what our neighbours were talking about). Also some of the rooms have quite a low ceiling (our first did but the second was good height).

The bed it’s self was comfortable

The pillows were terrible they were really hard and it was hard to get a good nights sleep on it. And also the light from the hall made it hard to sleep so I had to put on an eye mask to try to rest
